Did Biden Just Admit to Pushing for Trump Prosecution?
Stunning news breaks about President Biden’s push for the Department of Justice to prosecute Trump more quickly.
What Happened?
This past weekend news outlets have reported on some of the key events during President Joe Biden’s term in office.
They include some of his gripes, his frailties, and what he thought of the people around him.
The stories come from unnamed sources. But according to the reports, these were people who were ‘in the room’ with Biden during these events.
One of the reports, if true, confirms what president-elect Donald Trump has claimed for the past four years… that Biden has specifically and knowingly targeted Trump for prosecution.
Why it Matters
For the entirety of his presidency, Biden, his officials, and the mainstream press have all denied the administration targeted Donald Trump.
They’ve all said president Biden believes in the rule of law, that America is a fair democracy, and that under no circumstance would his administration target a political enemy.
And yet, despite all that, the revelation from the recent reporting is that the aging president specifically wanted the Department of Justice to be quicker in prosecuting Trump.
As the Guardian reports:
‘The US president has reportedly also said he made a mistake in choosing Merrick Garland as attorney general — reflecting that Garland, a former US appeals court judge, was slow to prosecute Donald Trump for his role in the 6 January 2021 insurrection…’
That lays it all bare.
President Biden wanted the DOJ to prosecute his political enemy.
He wanted his main challenger for the presidency sidelined so he would have an easy path back to the White House.
Whether it was laziness, ineptitude, incompetence, or something else that delayed the DOJ prosecution, we may never know. Or perhaps, at least, not for some time — until Garland publishes his memoirs, perhaps!
How it Affects You
This all only goes to prove that despite the protestations from the White House, the Biden Administration clearly tried to influence the DOJ and the courts.
And if the White House tried to influence that case, it raises questions about the White House’s potential involvement in the other cases against Trump.
Was the White House involved elsewhere? How far did it push to have Trump prosecuted and jailed?
For all the attacks on Trump and the so-called ‘insurrection’, it’s becoming even clearer that the greatest threat to democracy was the Biden Administration all along.
