Israel Resumes Ground Operations in Gaza as War Reigniting Appears Imminent
The Israeli military has resumed ground operations in Gaza as Prime Minister Netanyahu stated recent targeted attacks were ‘only the beginning.’

What Happened?
The Israeli military announced its forces resumed targeted ground operations in central and southern Gaza to retake part of a key corridor.
Israel Defense Forces said the move is to widen its security zone and create a partial buffer as troops expand further to the center of the Netzarim Corridor.
The renewed operations come a day after more than 400 people, including women and children, were reportedly killed by Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.
At least 27 people were killed from the extended family of Qraiqa, according to Palestinian medics.
A second day of airstrikes reportedly killed at least 38 Palestinians.
Gaza’s Health Ministry is calling Tuesday's attack the deadliest day in Gaza after 17 months of war.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly said on Wednesday that the attack was 'only the beginning.'
Many now suggest hopes of an Israel-Hamas ceasefire are shattered as Israel pushes forward to achieve its war goals.
Why it Matters
Netanyahu vowed to use 'increasing military strength' against Hamas due to a lack of progress in ceasefire talks.
The Trump administration was consulted by the Israelis and supported their attacks.
IDF reportedly warned of renewed operations after people were ordered to evacuate eastern Gaza and other communities.
Hamas officials warned Israel’s decision to resume the war is a 'death sentence' for the remaining hostages, according to The Associated Press.
Roughly two dozen are believed to be still alive.
Hamas accused Netanyahu of upending the truce agreement and has now exposed remaining Israeli hostages 'to an unknown fate.'
Israel had introduced what was said to be a new U.S. ceasefire plan that differed from the previous one agreed to in January with Hamas.
As a result, Israel has allegedly tried forcing Hamas into accepting the new plan by imposing a total blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu vowed revenge for a 'cruel and malicious violation' he described by Hamas despite the group denying the act.
Hamas has claimed they remain committed, although Israeli officials have suggested otherwise.
How it Affects You
The Palestinian militant group has yet to launch any retaliatory attacks.
But Israel's surprise attack makes intentions clear of reigniting the 17-month-old war.
U.N. Humanitarian Chief Tom Fletcher reportedly demanded that Israel resume essential deliveries to Gaza’s 2.1 million people.
Aid deliveries of food, fuel, medicine, and other supplies have been blocked since March 2.
Families are urging an immediate ceasefire and return to the negotiations to prevent the death of other hostages.
It is unclear how recovery efforts would resume and if the Trump administration could even rekindle peace talks for the future of Gaza and its residents.
